This year\u2019s theme was, \u201cIf you could change something in your life, what would it look like?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With original pieces created by children and adolescents, the art exhibit was created as a way to initiate conversations between adults and children about how they can make positive changes in their lives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year the focus is on positive mental health as it is essential to a child\u2019s early development,\u201d said June Wasserman, PhD\u00a0 and coordinator of Child and Adolescent Services at the Advanced Center for Psychotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>The art work will be displayed in the lobby of the Advanced Center for Psychotherapy for the month of May, National Mental Health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ShareChildren\u2019s Mental Health Awareness Day was May 8th, and to celebrate, Jamaica Hospital\u2019s Advanced Center for Psychotherapy hosted its annual children\u2019s art exhibit.
