This year, Jamaica and Flushing Hospital celebrated the observance by hosting the public art exhibit \u201cCreating Balance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Creating Balance featured several pieces of art that illustrated the thoughts and reflections of patients participating in therapy. \u00a0Artwork with vibrant colors and self-expressive notes were displayed in each hospitals&#8217; main lobby,\u00a0and enjoyed by the community and staff.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3615 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/IMG_3591-queens-museum-576x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"391\" \/>The exhibit was later moved to the Queens Museum where it made its big debut. \u00a0An opening reception was held to reveal the artwork.\u00a0 The event was well attended by several museum visitors, past and present patients as well as their families, artists and staff. \u00a0Art spectators actively viewed and explored the various media in which the art was presented.<\/p>\n<p>The showcase included drawings, paintings, sculptures and music.
