{"id":3668,"date":"2018-05-10T17:09:16","date_gmt":"2018-05-10T17:09:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/?p=3668"},"modified":"2018-05-10T17:54:47","modified_gmt":"2018-05-10T17:54:47","slug":"fhmc-provides-health-and-wellness-center-at-the-immaculate-conception-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/fhmc-provides-health-and-wellness-center-at-the-immaculate-conception-center\/","title":{"rendered":"FHMC Promotes Health and Wellness at the Immaculate Conception Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb_share_1\" style=\"float: right; margin-left: 10px;\"><a name=\"fb_share\" type=\"box_count\" share_url=\"https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/fhmc-provides-health-and-wellness-center-at-the-immaculate-conception-center\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sharer.php\">Share<\/a><\/div><div><script src=\"http:\/\/static.ak.fbcdn.net\/connect.php\/js\/FB.Share\" type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script><\/div><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3691 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/catholic-diocese-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"296\" height=\"224\" \/>On April 26, 2018, Flushing Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) was the sole hospital provider at the Immaculate Conception Center\u2019s Health and Wellness Seminar in partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens.<\/p>\n<p>After months of planning, a full day of screenings and workshops were offered to educate the over 150 Priests who were in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>The workshops focused on behavioral health, urology, hypertension, stroke prevention and diabetes management. \u00a0Blood pressure,\u00a0 oral cancer, vision,\u00a0 as well as hearing, were some of the health screenings provided at the event.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-3694 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/catholic-diocese-2-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"221\" height=\"229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/catholic-diocese-2-1.jpg 527w, https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/catholic-diocese-2-1-289x300.jpg 289w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 221px) 100vw, 221px\" \/>Ira Frankel Ph.D., Administrator of Psychiatry for Flushing Hospital\u2019s Department of Mental Health participated in the mid-day panel discussion entitled:\u00a0<em>The Behavioral Health Conundrum: Finding the Cure for Everything Mental, Physical, and Spiritual that Afflicts Us.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>During a speech, Father Bryan Carney, from Pastoral Care at FHMC, applauded the hospital for its ongoing commitment to providing quality services to his community. Robert V. Levine, Executive Vice-President\u00a0and\u00a0Chief Operating Officer responded, \u201cBoth the Bishop and Deacon of the Diocese came up to speak with me to thank FHMC for all our outstanding efforts in coordinating another successful Health and Wellness Seminar for all of their Clergy members.
