{"id":4081,"date":"2018-11-21T15:54:21","date_gmt":"2018-11-21T15:54:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/?p=4081"},"modified":"2018-11-21T17:10:22","modified_gmt":"2018-11-21T17:10:22","slug":"winner-of-the-medisys-thanksgiving-gift-basket-contest-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/winner-of-the-medisys-thanksgiving-gift-basket-contest-announced\/","title":{"rendered":"Winner of the MediSys Thanksgiving Gift Basket Contest Announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb_share_1\" style=\"float: right; margin-left: 10px;\"><a name=\"fb_share\" type=\"box_count\" share_url=\"https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/winner-of-the-medisys-thanksgiving-gift-basket-contest-announced\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sharer.php\">Share<\/a><\/div><div><script src=\"http:\/\/static.ak.fbcdn.net\/connect.php\/js\/FB.Share\" type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script><\/div><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4085 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Quality-Improvement-Department-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"299\" height=\"226\" \/>This week, a group of judges convened in the office of Jamaica Hospital\u2019s Volunteer Department to determine the winner of the 2018 MediSys Thanksgiving Basket Contest.<\/p>\n<p>In the spirit of goodwill and a little competition, many departments across the MediSys Health Network submitted a total of 55 beautifully decorated baskets filled with Thanksgiving food items.<\/p>\n<p>The criteria for Best Basket included originality, thoughtfulness and design.\u00a0 The judges were shown a variety of baskets and boxes that ranged in sizes and were adorned in festive colors.<\/p>\n<p>Three finalists were selected based on overall appearance and the number of food items collected; they included Jamaica Hospital\u2019s Quality Improvement Department, the Ambulatory Care Nursing Staff, as well as the hospital\u2019s Epic Training Team. \u00a0The judges made a unanimous decision, and the Quality Improvement Department received first prize.<\/p>\n<p>Although a winner was selected, the best prize received in this year\u2019s competition was the collective generosity of all the departments that participated.\u00a0 All Thanksgiving gift basket donated will be given to local families in need. \u00a0We are happy that we were able to do our part in bringing members of our community a Happy Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ShareThis week, a group of judges convened in the office of Jamaica Hospital\u2019s Volunteer Department to determine the winner of the 2018 MediSys Thanksgiving Basket Contest.
