{"id":5868,"date":"2022-03-24T19:02:41","date_gmt":"2022-03-24T19:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/?p=5868"},"modified":"2022-03-24T19:12:17","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T19:12:17","slug":"medisys-adds-bi-directional-communication-boards-to-improve-the-patient-experience","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/medisys-adds-bi-directional-communication-boards-to-improve-the-patient-experience\/","title":{"rendered":"MediSys Adds Bi-Directional Communication Boards To Improve The Patient Experience"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"fb_share_1\" style=\"float: right; margin-left: 10px;\"><a name=\"fb_share\" type=\"box_count\" share_url=\"https:\/\/medisyshealth.org\/newsletter\/medisys-adds-bi-directional-communication-boards-to-improve-the-patient-experience\/\" href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/sharer.php\">Share<\/a><\/div><div><script src=\"http:\/\/static.ak.fbcdn.net\/connect.php\/js\/FB.Share\" type=\"text\/javascript\"><\/script><\/div><p>The MediSys Health Network&#8217;s Patient-Centered Services Department is proud to announce the installation of bi-directional communication boards in all in-patient rooms.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flushinghospital.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/BiDirectional.Flushing.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7352 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.flushinghospital.org\/newsletter\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/BiDirectional.Flushing-300x229.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"374\" height=\"288\" \/><\/a>The boards, which are 3\u2019 x 2\u2019 have been placed at the foot of each bed and are intended to convey information between the patient and the care team, enhance patient and family engagement, and improve the patient experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat Matters to You, Matters to Us\u201d is boldly written across the top of each board to emphasize the importance of effective communication and understanding.\u00a0 The board is split into two halves underneath this title. Each half contains blank fields that are to be filled in daily by the care team and patient together.<\/p>\n<p>The left side of the board is designated as the patient side. On this side of the board the patient can express how they prefer to be addressed, their goals for the day, their language of choice, and any questions or concerns they want to share with their healthcare team.<\/p>\n<p>The right side of the board is to be completed by the care team and includes important information such as the names of everyone on the healthcare team.
